12歲自閉童成數學天才

卡梅倫·湯普森還是一個狂熱天文愛好者。

　　信息時報綜合報道　英國威爾士一個智力超人的男孩12歲便在修讀公開大學的第二年課程。有人預測稱，以他的驚人智力，到16歲時，就可獲得榮譽學士學位。不過，卡梅倫·湯普森并沒有直接升讀大學，現在仍在綜合中學梅勒中學與普通學生一同上課，只是同時兼顧著公開大學的第二年數學課程。

　　4歲時就顯露才華

　　湯普森患有一種名叫亞氏保加綜合癥(又稱阿斯伯格綜合癥)的自閉癥。但自閉癥病人往往具有驚人的天分，與多數天才(除了愛因斯坦)一樣，湯普森很早便顯露出他的天賦異稟。4歲時他已與幼兒園的老師談負數談個不休，父母也發現了自己的兒子是神童。升入中學后，他參加了一個數學專業考試，打破最高分數140的紀錄，考得141分。

　　16歲可獲學士學位

　　老師知道班里有這樣一個超級資優生后，讓他試做普通中等教育證書考試的數學試題，結果對他來說完全“無難度”，全部都得了滿分。老師于是要他正式報考去年5月的數學考試，他果然也順利取得最高的A級成績。他的父親說，他正在就讀公開大學的第二年課程，去年他的總成績高達百分之89，他打算在16歲完成課程，獲取榮譽學士學位。
