(一)不明白生活經驗的背后意思　　　　　　　　　
· 由于自閉癥兒童的世界是由多是由一個個的獨立小節所組成，他們不能將不同的事情組合或連系起來而形成有意義的概念，亦未能明白事物背後形成的原因及彼此關系?！　　　　?BR>· 由于未能從生活經驗中學習到事物的相關性，所以亦形成認知困難?！　　　　?BR>(二)不恰當地注意事物的細節部分　　　　　　　　　
· 他們往往過於專注事物的不重要部分而忽略了重要部分?！　?BR>· 有部分自閉癥人士的視覺辨別能力較強，所以會令到他們觀察到環境中的細節而忽略了課室中的活動?！　　　?BR>· 聽覺較敏感，因而集中一些細微的聲音?！　　　?
(三)專注力差　　　　　　　　
· 由于自閉癥兒童感觀異常，因而令他們容易分心。
(四)思考方式較簡單　　　　　　　　
· 只能明白具體的概念，較難明白抽象的概念或比喻，亦較難綜合不同的概念?！　　　?BR>(五)較難有組織及有次序地完成工作　　　　　　　　
· 對要同一時間內分析一個以上的資料有困難，亦難有步驟地作出行動?！　　　?BR>(六)較難將已掌握的概念運用到不同的情況中
