兒童孤獨癥發病率被低估

　　近日公布的一份學齡兒童全面調查調查了年齡為９至１１歲的兒童，診斷出１％以上的兒童有孤獨癥或相關異常癥狀。這個數據表明，相比２０世紀９０年代普遍接受的每萬人中有４例孤獨癥的數據，如今兒童的孤獨癥發病率增長到２５倍。

　　領導這項研究的吉莉恩·貝爾德教授撰文，呼吁地方當局充分認識到孤獨癥患者所需要的額外支持。她說：“衛生、教育和社會福利等部門需要充分認識到患有某種形式孤獨癥的兒童的需求，他們占兒童人口的１％。

　　這項研究沒有表明天生有孤獨癥的兒童人數是否在上升。不過據認為，目前孤獨癥更加普遍，說明過去有大量病例可能未被檢查出來。

　　孤獨癥的診斷需要利用行為和心理測試，但是近年來診斷范圍有所擴大，醫生們將相關異常癥狀，比如阿斯珀格綜合征，也包含在孤獨癥的范圍內。

　　貝爾德教授說：他們主要的特征是在處理社會關系方面有缺陷，這表現為孤僻、冷淡、根本不能適應環境等等。以前，許多被診斷患有孤獨癥的兒童或許有一些學習障礙?？墒乾F在我們發現，沒有學習障礙、而且的確非常出色的兒童也會患有孤獨癥?！?/P>
