新加坡特殊教育學校擴招重度自閉癥兒童

　　據新加坡教育部網站近日消息，新加坡3所政府資助型特殊學校將在未來兩年里擴大對中等至重度自閉癥兒童的招生，同時為他們提供自閉癥譜系障礙計劃。主要原因是系列研究報告顯示，目前新加坡中度至重度自閉癥學生人數有所增加，他們需要專門并具有針對性的干預以幫助他們學習。在此背景下，志愿者福利工作組織管理的政府資助型特殊學校也開始相應增加自閉癥譜系障礙計劃。
　　新加坡自閉癥協會、亞洲婦女福利協會和彩虹中心將分別開設一所附屬學校，在這些學校開放之前，新加坡自閉癥協會與亞洲婦女福利協會將會先在另一所學校試行，以便在2017年的下半年和2018年招收更多的學生。預計自2018年起，彩虹中心將會在其附屬學校中接納更多的學生。此外，新加坡教育部將繼續加大與志愿者福利工作組織的合作力度，從而確保有特殊需求的兒童能夠接受并受益于優質教育。
