　　“垃圾DNA”突變可能引起自閉癥

　　脫氧核糖核酸（DNA）是人體內重要的遺傳物質，過去認為其中相當部分沒有用處，是“垃圾DNA”。但一項新研究顯示，“垃圾DNA”如果發生突變，可能引起自閉癥。

　　美國普林斯頓大學等機構研究人員在新一期英國《自然·遺傳學》雜志上發表報告說，他們分析了1790名自閉癥患者的基因組。這些患者沒有自閉癥家族史，其病情更可能來自基因突變。

　　研究人員使用人工智能中的機器學習技術建立了一個分析模型，比較了自閉癥患者與其未患自閉癥的兄弟姐妹等親人的基因組，結果顯示，“垃圾DNA”的突變可能影響某些基因的調節和表達，增加患自閉癥的風險。

　　據介紹，人類基因組中僅有1%到2%的部分負責編碼蛋白質，其余部分曾經被認為是沒有用處的“垃圾DNA”。但近來有越來越多的證據顯示，“垃圾DNA”在許多生理機制中起到重要的調控作用。

　　研究人員認為，這項成果不僅為探索自閉癥病因提供了新視角，還提示人們可以用類似方法探索“垃圾DNA”在癌癥和心臟病等疾病中的影響。
