谷歌協助Autism Speaks建立大型自閉癥數據庫

　　近日，Autism Speaks聯手谷歌公司，將建立一個來自自閉癥患者及其家庭成員的基因組測序數據庫，堪稱業內最大。Autism Speaks表示，希望通過這種資源開放的模式，來讓研究機構找到引起自閉癥譜系障礙的根源及其亞型病癥、治療方法、診斷方法等。

　　Autsim Speaks的首席科學家稱：“（Autism Speaks 1萬人基因組項目）將可能從根本上改變我們對自閉癥的看法，我們將重新定義對這一疾病的醫學治療方法。”

　　據悉，Autism Speaks委托谷歌儲存以及管理該數據庫，并且希望將數據庫盡可能地變大。換言之，研究人員將無需擔心計算機和數據儲存方面的問題，他們所要做的就是專心研究自閉癥。

　　目前還不清楚這一數據庫完成的具體時間，不過據Autsim Speaks透露，除了此前已經完成的1000份基因組數據之外，現在他們已經進入到了近2000份的基因組收集階段。
