自閉癥的微生物學與免疫學

基因遺傳與環境因素二者很可能都是促成神經發展異常(neurodevelopmental disorders)的發病原因。甚至在釵h遺傳性疾病的外顯率(癥狀的表現)、發病時間的差異性、嚴重性等都有所不同,這足以說明基因與環境之間互相影響的復雜性。

在動物模型的研究發現,主要的作用基因組(host response genes)與微生物、有毒物質及其它環境因素之間的作用與結果,會導致慢性(長期性)疾病的病理生理學上有光譜式(廣泛)的差異。

基于在動物模型研究中發現病毒感染導致神經網絡的發展也受到影響,讓我們從新檢討人類的感染與免疫等因素,可能也是導致神經發展異常的病因。我們希望有更多的研究為人類的后代帶來更好的展望。
