Doman的方法主要是閃卡，開發新生兒嬰幼兒智力潛能的新方法--CCSOS（漢字-感覺組合刺激）嬰幼兒智能開發閱讀識字法，它是根據漢字是復腦文字，可開發左腦右腦功能的屬性和嬰兒“模式學習”的特性，遵循嬰兒喜歡看漢字，喜歡看移動性物體，對視覺刺激存在習慣化同時又需去習慣化的嬰兒發展心理學特點，以及韻腳兒歌促進腦成熟的發育兒科學特性，提倡包括看世界名畫，聆聽古典音樂，移動性閱讀實物畫面和相應漢字，撫觸、游泳，聽、讀自創的78首韻腳兒歌和聽讀古詩等全方位的漢字-感覺組合刺激的認知訓練。
